ZONE 8 - Flowers June, July, August - Nearly transparent, intense lavender-blue flowers stand well above deep, waxy-green foliage.

The easist way to add plants and boost the bio capacity to your pond:

  • Needs no pot, floats on the water surface
  • Grows rapidly
  • Produces lush green leaves and free flowering blue hyacinth like flower spikes
  • Grows extensive dangling root system that absorbs nutrients from the water column helping to quell algae growth
  • Root system provides extensive surface area for colonization by beneficial bacteria
  • Harvesting excess nutrients from your pond is as easy as raking out extra plants periodically throughout the season and tossing them on your compost pile.
  • Fish love to nibble the nutritious roots (in the presence of large fish, plants may need protection in our Safe Havens)
