Pond Aerator Options:

Vertex Warranty: 

Our pond aerator systems have a full two year warranty plus a five-year warranty on the Air Stations and a 15-year warranty on BottomLine supply tubing.

Vertex Aerators vs Fountains: 

1. Vertex aerators are bubbler systems that sit on the bottom of the pond and pump air up through the water column. Fountains float on the surface and pump surface water up into the air.
 
2. Pond Aerators are 79% more energy efficient than fountains as it takes far less energy to push air through water than to push water up into the air.
 
3. Pond Aerators add oxygen to the entire water column while fountains only aerate the surface waters.
 
4. Since pond aerators oxygenate the bottom of the pond, they facilitate the digestion of nutrient rich organic materials that have accumulated on the bottom. Fountains have little impact on the bottom of the pond.
 
5. Since pond aerators have no electrical pumps in the pond, they are safer than fountains that require electrical wires submerged in the pond.
 
6. Pond aerator compressors are on land and are therefore more accessible and easier to maintain. Fountain pumps are tethered out in the pond and need a boat to service.
 
7. Vertex Pond Aeration Systems are much less expensive to buy than fountains. For a five acre pond, aerators cost are about 75% less than a comparable fountain system.
